Vieworks Showcases Advanced Imaging Solutions for Battery Manufacturing at InterBattery 2025
2025-03-06
The company participated in InterBattery 2025, Korea’s largest
battery industry exhibition, held at COEX in Seoul from March 5 to 7. Building
on its debut at the show last year, Vieworks nearly doubled its booth size and
showcased 16 products, including industrial cameras, lenses, and X-ray
detectors.

Vieworks highlighted real-time demonstrations tailored for
early-stage lithium-ion battery production, covering electrode manufacturing
through to cell assembly. Notably, its VL series of high-speed line scan
cameras were used for electrode coating inspection, detecting defects such as
pinholes, bubbles, and foreign materials during slurry coating. This ensures
uniformity in coating thickness and helps prevent capacity inconsistencies and
faulty electrodes.
Additionally, the company demonstrated cylindrical battery
inspection with high-resolution area scan cameras, enabling the detection of
internal electrode misalignment and external defects during cell assembly.
These systems are designed to enhance both battery safety and production
efficiency.
To complete its battery inspection portfolio, Vieworks introduced
the VIVIX-V series of industrial X-ray detectors. Integrated into industrial computed tomography systems, these detectors identify internal defects, such as electrode
misalignment and foreign objects.
“With growing demand for faster cycle times and high-precision
inspection, our expanded machine vision and X-ray solutions address evolving
customer needs,” said a Vieworks representative. “We are committed to
delivering integrated technologies that improve quality assurance and safety
across the battery manufacturing process.”
